Aaron Knight is seeking a part-time assistant to support his creative photography. The Artist’s Assistant role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with a professional artist. You’ll gain hands-on experience in art production and sales, including recruiting talent, coordinating shoots, marketing, and administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate is reliable, persistent, and ready to learn the full sequence of duties as follows.

Duties

• Assist with models: recruiting, scheduling, and keeping them ready for successful photo shoots.
• Photo shoots: setup equipment, recharge and store equipment, as well as assisting in the construction of sets and props.
• Administrative responsibilities include updating art listings with dealers, posting advertisements, and packing purchased items for shipment.
• Bring your own skills and interests, for example learn to develop black and white film or jewelry making.

Compensation and perks

• $21.50-$23.50/hour

Preferred experience

• One or more years experience in the arts is desired
• Two to five years of total work experience is desired
• Interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn new skills and stick with tasks to completion
